Our sea moss is wild crafted, harvested and sun dried.
DID YOU KNOW? Seamoss contains 92 of the 102 minerals present in the human body!
Fun Fact:During the potato famine in Ireland, many individuals turned to Chondrus Crispus that washed up ashore for sustenance. These people were desperate so they ate what ever they could find. Unknowingly by consuming just this sea algae they were supplying themselves with most of the nutrition they needed.
Sea moss is a small sea algae that ranges in color from light to dark purple and even a red to tan color depending on maturity and growing conditions. This sea algae is authentic Irish Sea moss, which is wild harvested from cold Atlantic coastlines by local fishermen. Chondrus Crispus grows exclusively in the cold northern waters, unlike Caribbean sea moss.
Similarly to Caribbean sea moss, Chondrus releases a powerful gelling agent when boiled, commonly known as carrageenan. Traditional uses include “setting” desserts such as puddings and ice cream. Additionally it is an excellent thickening agent in soups and broths.
This algae is sought after as it is believed to have an extensive list of healing properties.
The price of Sea Moss includes shipping via USPS. If you have multiple items in your cart and you pay for 2-day shipping, the 2 day shipping will only apply to the fruit purchased. Sometimes we are able to put the package with your fruit, however, this may not always be possible. If you have ordered any Sea Moss, please expect your package(s) to be sent separately.

Tropical Fruit ripens best in warm temperatures. If you have received fruit that has not ripened and you wish to speed up the ripening process, we recommend to either put your fruit in paper bags or wrapped in a kitchen towel and placed in a dry, warm area. Alternatively, you may also place your fruit outside in the sun (in an area mindful of bugs) which will also speed up the ripening process.
