Native to Colombia, baby bananas grow on a tree sized plant in clusters (called bunches) with individual "hands". The delicious flavor of this banana is exciting to those who are searching for a new banana taste. A slightly acidic flavor somewhat offsets the sweetness, just enough to make it interesting.  These bananas are small in size but huge in flavor. Baby Bananas are loaded with B vitamins and potassium and make a great snack for the whole family. Our bananas are hand harvested from our farms in South Florida and are never artificially gassed, unlike store bought bananas which receive such treatment as they are picked too green to naturally ripen.

Fun Fact: Baby Bananas are known to be an alkaline forming food.

Taste Test Box contains approximately 1-2lbs of fruit

Small Box Contains approximately 5-6 lbs of fruit

*Ripening Guide*

Arrives Unripe

Baby Banana

The banana will arrive unripe.  When fully ripe it will become soft to the touch with brown spots and when cut open will have a creamy texture and wonderful aroma. This banana variety is intended to be eaten ripe.

Tropical Fruit ripens best in warm temperatures. If you have received fruit that has not ripened and you wish to speed up the ripening process, we recommend to either put your fruit in paper bags or wrapped in a kitchen towel and placed in a dry, warm area. Alternatively, you may also place your fruit outside in the sun (in an area mindful of bug) which will also speed up the ripening process.
