Sea moss is a small sea algae that grows to about 20 cm from a disc shape holdfast which is essentially its anchor. The branches are firm in texture and range in color from light to dark green, dark red, purple, brown, gold, and white. The most common color is off white. Texture, smell and viscosity also vary dependent on the variety and environmental conditions they are harvested in. Sea moss is full of beneficial minerals and nutrients and is commonly used to create a gel that has a wide array of traditional uses. Our sea moss is wild crafted, harvested and sun dried.

The price of Sea Moss includes shipping via USPS. If you have multiple items in your cart and you pay for 2-day shipping, the 2 day shipping will only apply to the fruit purchased. Sometimes we are able to put the package with your fruit, however, this may not always be possible. If you have ordered any Sea Moss, please expect your package(s) to be sent separately.

Once the fruit has arrived, in the case that there are any damages to the fruit or the fruit is inedible, please notify us within 24 hours via email with a picture of the fruit to info@fruitsnrootz.com. Due to perishability of tropical fruit we are not able to refund after the 24 hour period.

Please bear with us due to the pandemic our response times are slightly exaggerated.  We are doing our best to respond to each email as quickly as possible. We aim to provide the best quality of fruit and service to our customers. Thank you for your support.

Tropical Fruit ripens best in warm temperatures. If you have received fruit that has not ripened and you wish to speed up the ripening process, we recommend to either put your fruit in paper bags or wrapped in a kitchen towel and placed in a dry, warm area. Alternatively, you may also place your fruit outside in the sun (in an area mindful of bugs) which will also speed up the ripening process.
