Yellow Dragon Fruit, scientifically known as Hylocereus megalanthus is native to northern South America. Our yellow dragon fruit is sourced from Ecuador. Yellow dragon fruit has a juicy texture with crunchy edible seeds and is pleasantly sweet. Some may say it is reminiscent of a kiwi.
Yellow Dragon fruit is a good source of dietary fiber, protein and contains higher amounts of calcium than the red skinned varieties. The edible seeds also provide high amounts of omega 3 fatty-acids that are beneficial for a healthy heart. Yellow Dragon fruit is available year round with the exception of a few weeks.

Tropical Fruit ripens best in warm temperatures. If you have received fruit that has not ripened and you wish to speed up the ripening process, we recommend to either put your fruit in paper bags or wrapped in a kitchen towel and placed in a dry, warm area. Alternatively, you may also place your fruit outside in the sun (in an area mindful of bug) which will also speed up the ripening process.
